| 1 |
Warm up an engine and confirm it. (If an engine is cool, the
effect of Top Engine Cleaner is reduced.) |
| 2 |
Start spraying from a primary side of
carburetor (chalk valve side) until it is full like following photo.
 |
| 3 |
Be careful not to intentionaly push nozzle into air vent tube
like following photo. This may cuase some trouble. It is however
no problem if TEC liquid goes down naturally during TEC application to
fill up carburetor.
*Do not push nozzle into air vent tube intentionaly
like showing as above. |
| 4 |
When applying, spray TEC against carburetor inside wall, around choke
and deep inside by placing a nozzle on them shown as following photo. |
| 5 |
Do the same procedure for the secondary side of carburetor as the next
step following the same instructions as (3) and (4). Refer next photo.
* Do not repeat spraying too many times.
|
| 6 |
Be careful not to repeat spraying too many times as foams disappear
especially for compact cars with small engine capacity. This is because
an engine may not be started if TEC fluid fill inside combustion chamber.
If an engine does not start just like having dead battery, take off all
plugs and eliminate excessive TEC fluids from combustion chamber using
a starter several times. Refer above photo. |
| 7 |
Start running an engine about 3 minutes after filling up TEC
in carburetor. Use the following steps to start running an engine.
After sitting on a driver's seat, step down an acceleration pedal fully
and keep this situation. Turn on an starter, run an engine upto 3,000
RPM and then release an acceleration pedal. Floating-dissolved carbon
may be pulled in and plug up a gasoline tube by releasing an acceleration
without starting an engine especially for dirty carburetor. |
| 8 |
After starting an engine, spray the rest of contents of TEC can through
the primary side of carburetor. It is normal that the engine gets
slow down during an application of TEC. Refer following photo.
 |
| 9 |
After spraying all the contents into combustion chamber, stop an engine
right away as a carburetor looks clean, combustion chamber also becaomes
clean. It takes some time that TEC penetrates and dissolve carbon
deposits and gums. At busy service stations 3 to 5 minutes may be enough
but longer, the better. Refer following photos.
Before use of TEC
After use of TEC
|
| 10 |
Reset an air cleaner while waiting for TEC penetrates into carbon
deposits and gums.
 |
| 11 |
Start an engine again after a certain time, and idle it until
white smoke ceased to come out. Be careful not to idle at too hight
speed continuously (No Racing). It would be ideal and more effective
if a car could run for a while to blow out gums and deposits at a moderately
high speed. |
| 12 |
After idling settles down, adjust idle screws for best idle
RPM as idling RPM usually increases by an application of TEC. It
saves gas by doing this. If possible, it would be better to adjust
idle mixture screw by HC, CO meter. |
